Women's Retreat (September 24-26, 2010)

Every day we need to recharge and then there are times when a few more hours are needed. This retreat is about leaving your responsibilities for a weekend and "recharging" with a group of women. Come with a group of your friends or meet some new ones. What is important is the relationships you form are strengthened while you are at Pine Lake. God wants to communicate with us and give us what we need to live out our lives in a way that pleases Him, serves Him and all those we love and serve.

For more information click on the picture, there's a lot more about the retreat. Marge Mitchell is the contact for this event.

Participating as you like in many recreational activities including trap shooting, golf, zip lines, canoeing and much more. The Saturday steak fry is an important part of Men's Retreat and it is always a highlight.

4th of July Response

Thanks to everyone who came and helped at the Big White House event on the 4th! Hopefully some of you also came to enjoy the festivities and BBQ. Here are some of the responses we received about the event:

"I heard one gentleman say as he and his extended family were eating lunch, that he was amazed the day was "with no strings, no donations". How wonderful God provided this gift to all!!  = ) What a picture of His Love and Grace!"

"I really had a great time...Thank you for letting me be a part of this experience.  I had a blast making sandwiches and greeting people.  I have forgotten how much I miss being outgoing!  I have become more reserved in my later years because I was afraid I was annoying....I really needed that!  It brought value back to me...Again, thank you for letting me be a part of this!  I needed it as much as you needed my help!"

"It was SUPER exciting yesterday!  80% chance of rain...bah humbug!"

"A great turn out! Congrats to Genesis and all of those who put so much time into the BWH. The place looks great and we are excited to see the BWH's involvement in -and service to- the community begin to unfold! Great job!"
