The program, entitled "Avant Garde and Other Scandals," will feature music from the Middle Ages through the Baroque that was dubbed by contemporaries as either wonderfully new or dangerously offensive, including outlandish counterpoint and virtuosic displays, mischievous texts, and works that stretched prevailing musical fashions.
Tickets for the concert are $15, $12 for seniors, and $6 for students, and will be available at the door. As always, all concert proceeds will be donated to agencies that work to alleviate hunger locally and around the world.
