Family Celebration for the Kruse Family

We're pulling together a family celebration for Tyler and Jen Kruse's new baby.  It will be a family-style celebration with cake and board/table games.  So come help Jen, Tyler, Gretchen and Grant get ready to welcome the new baby home! Ash Wednesday is the first day of the Season of Lent.  Lent is the season where we prepare, as one author states, "to celebrate God's marvelous redemption at Easter, and the resurrected life that we live, and hope for, as Christians."  The author continues that Ash Wednesday "is a somber day of reflection on what needs to change in our lives if we are to be fully Christian."  With these things in mind, we will hold an Ash Wednesday service at the Big White House.  May we gather with that kind of reflective spirit, listening to carefully to the Holy Spirit as He desires to work in our lives to re-create us more and more into the image of Christ in this beautiful process we call "sanctification."  For some more background information on Lent and Ash Wednesday, you can check out this site:  http://www.crivoice.org/cylent.html
